Father’s Day has been a bittersweet day for me ever since I lost my dad in July of 2014. I wasn‘t able to ignore it for long, though, because we had our first baby in September of 2015. The following June was Tripp’s very first Father’s Day. He really is the very best dad.
Even though he knows it’s an emotional day for me and never expects anything extravagant, I try to get him a little something from the kids to show him how much we appreciate all that he does for us. But at the same time, I don’t want a bunch of useless junk in my house. Here is a list of useful Father’s Day gifts that he’ll actually appreciate.

My husband, ever since I've known him, has carried a small wrench, a small pair of pliers, and a flashlight in his pocket along with his wallet and phone. He uses these three things daily at work and around the house. The flashlight is even rechargeable. When Tripp gets home and unloads his pockets at night, he puts it right on the charger to have it ready for work the following morning.
These Crocs are not the typical slip-on shoe you usually see from Croc. These boat shoes are every bit as sturdy as the usual clogs, but more appealing to the eye. This style was an impulse purchase when Tripp's tried and true style was out of stock in his size. But I must say, we have not been disappointed with these.
We have a basket full of promotional koozies, but this stainless-steel can insulator is the only one Tripp uses. It's sturdy and looks nice. It actually wouldn't hurt to have more than one of these around the house.
This canvas work apron is my favorite item on this list. It's extremely convenient for Tripp to fill these pockets with all the tools and supplies he will need for a specific project. Things tend to go smoothly when everything he needs is right there at the start. Plus, it looks really good on him.
This grill brush is perfect for any type of grill. We've used it to clean both our pellet grill and charcoal grill. It's abrasive enough to do the job well and sturdy enough to hold up to excessive use. (We grill a lot.)
How nice are these zero gravity chairs? When Tripp and I bought this house, the previous owners had a set of these on the back porch. We hoped they would leave them behind when they moved out, but they knew what they had with these chairs. They are so comfortable! We immediately added these to our must-have list.
The last thing on this list is actually the first thing Tripp mentioned when I asked him about useful gifts for men. It's an electric razor and beard trimmer. My husband is a burly man, and it's easy for his beard to get out of hand if he doesn't stay on top of it. It does the job well, is rechargeable, and is small enough that the bathroom doesn't look too cluttered when he leaves it out.
So there you go, nine perfect gifts at every budget, all with free two-day shipping. Show the men in your life how important they are. Happy Father's Day!
