Oh hey! It's been a while.

A lot of life has happened since my last blog post four years ago. Here's a quick recap:
We DID move into that single-wide on family land AND we became the owners of that family land. We had a baby girl and outgrew our tiny little home and began looking for other options. We weighed the pros and cons of just buying a larger mobile home, building a new home, and even came really close to moving an old farmhouse onto our land. But when my mother in law made a comment in passing that she wished she could downsize--it all clicked into place. We traded homes and mortgages and all got what we wanted. And we're all still right here on this family farm. It will take more than just this post to explain all the details of how we got to this point, but I'll start by reintroducing myself.
Hi! My name is Brooke and I'm a work-from-home, homeschooling mom on a 250 acre tree farm in South Georgia. I have four kids and I love the little people that they're quickly growing up to be. I've learned a lot about myself in the past four years--the main thing being that I, in fact, do not dabble, as this blog suggests. I thought I did, but as it turns out, I actually dive head first into things without checking to see if there is anything below me to land on. But I like it that way, and I've never been happier.
I'm back and better than ever, with a little more self-awareness this time. :)
